Today, Prion Alliance president and Harvard Medical School PhD student Sonia Vallabh has been awarded the National Science Foundation’s prestigious Graduate Research Fellowship. This fellowship will provide $34,000 per year plus $12,000 in educational expenses to support her education and research at Harvard into developing human cell models for studying prion propagation and neurotoxicity.
